Bio
Bob Baker is an experimental photographer based in Overland Park, Kansas, who explores light not just as a medium, but as a language. With each image, he seeks to bend and shape light into stories—visual daydreams that invite viewers to linger, reflect, and feel.
Deeply influenced by the quiet power of Henri Cartier-Bresson, the raw grit of Daido Moriyama, and the hidden worlds captured by Vivian Maier, Bob’s work also draws energy from painters like Rothko, Matisse, and Van Gogh, as well as the ambient complexities of bands like Tool, Glass Beams, and Carbon Based Lifeforms.
A lifelong learner of photography and visual arts, Bob considers his camera both a tool and a teacher. His artistic practice is rooted in observation, long-form thought, and spirited dialogue—often centered around physics, philosophy, art history, and spirituality. For Bob, making art is a meditation and a form of therapy, and through it, he offers others a space to grow, wonder, and connect.
